Debra Distelhorst Dickerhoof, a Springfield native, attributes her creative abilities to her mother, Constance Distelhorst. Along with poetry, Debra’s favored niche is painting. Throughout her adult life, she worked, teaching on occasion, at the Springfield Muse- um of Art. In addition, she contributed to many local art shows and exhibits, taking high recogni- tion honors at the Sinclair College Women’s Art When the wind Angers the fire, Reach out and touch the flame. Rich thoughts from inner Torment linger, Ego bending, soul mending, never ending lives the Godhead. Utter not the word forsaken Hope eternal lives within Even on our deathbed ridden Rise up and touch the wind. Exhibit, the Western Ohio Watercolor Society, Antioch College and the Springfield Museum of Art Members’ Show. Artwork by Debra is in many private collec- tions throughout the country. For this On a Mis- sion excursion, she chose her poem “Touch the Wind” and one of her works of art, “Blue Door”… which displays her unique talents beautifully.
