Winter 2018

A Note As I sit down to write my note for this time, I think about all the things that transpired in 2017. Wow! What a year! Great year for Pets Uniting People Society (a nonprofit organization where I am the Director/Founder) and grateful for such an amazing kick-off of this magazine! All who contrib- ute to this publication are truly blessed. Publishing has never been easy; and, it may never become easy. It’s funny. My friend Dottie Mounts submits her article before I write mine. How amazing. It’s like she’s reading my mind and writing about me with all my concerns. How many times did I want to throw in the towel? But, the Lord does provide. When will I learn not to get so antsy?! I need to get that down-pat and realize all this is for His purpose, not mine or anyone else’s! Because of all the sponsorship, this magazine is FREE to all at fre- quent-visited locations and most sponsor locations. At first, I noticed some magazines were not picked up well at certain locations. I think it’s because people think they have to pay for a copy. However, if you’d like copy by subscription, this will ensure you receive one each edition. It’s $5.00 to offset the cost of postage/handling and is paid by the issue, very economical. Send your check to: On a Mission Magazine, Box 65, Trem- ont City, OH 45372 or purchase online at our Magazine Blog at: women- on-a-mission.com. I’d like to thank Addalyn Love, a young lady from Berea Bible Church and student at Cedarville University, who volunteered for writing assignments. I really appreciate her and everyone else who contributed for this issue. Most of all, I appreciate the sponsors. They are not only my sponsors, but also, my friends. So, please, everyone patronize them or let them know you saw their ad. Perhaps, go so far as to ask for the proprietor of a business featured in this issue and tell him/her that you appreciate their ad in the On a Mission Magazine. I’d appreciate it and so will they. In closing with our Scripture for this edition, I cannot help but think of Country Singer Alan Jackson and how he poured his heart out into writing this song, “Where Were You When the World Stopped Turning?” Here are some of its lyrics: “But I know Jesus and I talk to God And I remember this from when I was young…Faith, hope and love are some good things He gave us…And the greatest is love!” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV): “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” Until next time… Carolyn Publisher, On A Mission Disclaimer: On a Mission Magazine and Women -on-a-mission.com , magazine blog, will not be held responsible for any article or story content provided to us by a freelance or contributing writer.
